View Project WeatherEye Live Cameras in the RadarOmega App

With Project WeatherEye, you can experience severe weather like never before through live-streaming cameras placed right in the paths of storms. While you can catch our live streams on SeeTheStorm.net and YouTube, the most interactive and feature-packed way to enjoy these feeds is through the RadarOmega app. By using RadarOmega, you’ll unlock benefits like live radar, lightning detection, real-time warnings, and more—all layered alongside our Project WeatherEye cameras for a complete storm-tracking experience.

Here’s how to get started:

Step 1: Download the RadarOmega App

To view Project WeatherEye live cameras in RadarOmega, you’ll first need to install the app. It’s available for multiple platforms:

Good news—you don’t need a monthly subscription to access Project WeatherEye cameras! The base app includes this feature for free. However, we encourage upgrading to a subscription (like Gamma, Beta, or Alpha tiers) for even more powerful tools, such as extended model data, radar archives, and advanced storm-tracking options.

Step 2: Enable the CyclonePort Network (If Needed)

The Project WeatherEye cameras are part of the CyclonePort network, which is enabled by default in RadarOmega. To double-check it’s turned on, follow these steps:

  1. Open the RadarOmega app.

  2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines, often called the "hamburger" icon) in the top left corner.

  3. Scroll down to CyclonePort Network.

  4. Ensure the toggle is switched on. If it’s already on, you’re good to go!

Step 3: Find and Interact with Project WeatherEye Cameras

Once the CyclonePort network is active, you’ll see Project WeatherEye cameras appear on the map as small logos. They’ll look something like this:

Here’s what you can do:

  • Click the logo: This expands the live camera feed for a closer look at the storm in real time.

  • Move it around: Drag the expanded feed to reposition it on your screen.

  • Explore alongside data: Overlay live radar, lightning strikes, and weather warnings to get the full picture of what’s happening.

Why Use RadarOmega?

While SeeTheStorm.net and YouTube offer great live streams, RadarOmega takes it to the next level. You’ll enjoy an interactive experience with tools like:

  • Live Radar: Track storms with high-resolution data.

  • Lightning Detection: See strikes in real time.

  • Warnings: Stay updated with National Weather Service alerts.

  • Custom Features: Zoom into detailed maps, animate radar frames, and more.
